Candice Helton serves as the Public Affairs Specialist for the Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. As a tenured government employee she began her federal service at the age of 16 and will have served a decade in service before age 30. Her passion for communications overlaps with her volunteer commitments. She is a member of Washington Women in Public Relations, Toastmasters Public Speaking Club, and Thursday Network chapter of the National Urban League Young Professionals (NULYP).
In her spare time Candice helps small businesses with their external messaging and communications. Her brand C. Hope Freelance is now connected with several small businesses and professionals in the DMV area.
Candice received and her BS in Mass Communications from Winston-Salem State University and her MA in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from Trinity Washington University. She is a southern native from Grambling, Louisiana and has intentions down the road of her life to relocate to the south.
